Tutor Trust is an award-winning charity built on a simple belief: quality tutoring should be available to every young person, not just those whose families can pay. Its Tutoring Plus programme offers tailored one-to-one English and maths tuition alongside mentoring for young people facing the steepest barriers, 30% of them children in care, with others in alternative provision or at risk of disengaging from school. Tutors act as mentors as well as teachers, working closely with virtual schools, social workers and carers. Through partnerships such as the King’s Trust Achieve Programme, it also opens routes to GCSE-equivalent qualifications and careers guidance.
