Super Hubs
Super Hubs bring Action Hubs together with decision makers, local authorities, employers and people with care experience. Each event is a chance to share what works, spread good practice and build pathways into education, employment, housing, health and wellbeing, so no organisation has to work alone.
Why Super Hubs
Too many organisations are working on their own.
Since launching Fatima's UK Campaign, we have spoken to organisations the length and breadth of the country. Many had no idea that aligned work was happening on their doorstep, or that others were delivering similar activities elsewhere in the UK.
Real change happens when organisations work together rather than in isolation. Joined-up thinking creates greater cohesion and better outcomes for children in care and care-experienced young people. As our Action Hub network grew, we created Super Hubs to make that happen.
"We found organisations working in silos and opportunities being missed. We felt the need to join up the dots."
HOW IT WORKS
What happens at a Super Hub
Action Hubs share their work with each other and with the people who can help them go further.
At each event, Action Hubs share good practice, showcase the impact they are already achieving and explore new ways to work together. They meet decision makers, local authority representatives, prospective employers and aligned organisations across housing, health, education, charities and policing.
People with care experience are part of every Super Hub, helping to shape the strategies that come out of it. Each event also raises awareness, attracts new Action Hub partners and informs the public.
Three ways a Super Hub comes together
Location
Same area, different roles
Organisations with very different functions, serving the same part of the country.
Focus
One focus, wherever they are
Organisations with a shared focus, such as Sport & Activity, Education, Financial Capability or Employment & Skills.
Structure
One organisation, many parts
Larger organisations whose associated organisations form a Super Hub by the nature of their structure.
BIRMINGHAM SUPER HUB
Our first Super Hub
Our first Super Hub took place at Birmingham Children's Hospital on 30 July 2026, hosted and organised by Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust.
Partners from across the city came together to present their work and create real pathways into apprenticeships, employment and independent living, with contributions from care-experienced young people. The launch drew significant media interest, including an interview with Fatima and James Stokes on BBC Breakfast.
The work did not stop at the launch. We continue to build the Birmingham Super Hub with the Trust, bringing organisations, opportunities and young people together. Birmingham is the blueprint for Super Hubs across the UK.
Coming up
We will run Super Hubs in different parts of the UK on a regular basis, as resources allow.
